Loved it (really really loved it) but had to return for a smaller model

My baby loved this stroller, and if you want your child to nap in a stroller you will love it, too!
Reasons why this is amazing-
Comfortable and sharp looking
Roomy seat (your child can hang out and play in it or stretch out to go to sleep)
So easy to push it's like pushing air
The canopy is great, even in reclined position
The recline is great too, one handed and pretty much flat
You can hang heavy stuff on the handle and it does not tip!!!
The basket is huge and relatively easy to access
I'm pretty sure you can roll over grass easily even though I did not take it outside
Takes a car seat
Just a note: The seat is somehow different from the book plus, my britax car seat fit in this one and not the plus. Also, I prefer the car seat inside the stroller, on the plus you remove the seat to place directly on the chassis.
Why I couldn't keep it-
We already have a large all-terrain and needed a much smaller stroller for restaurants and crowded store aisles. I settled for the Peg Perego Si because it was about 3 inches narrower and about 3 inches shorter. However, if we had not already had the big stroller I would have kept this in a heartbeat and purchased a cheap umbrella as a backup.
I highly recommend this stroller as your only or main stroller, but couldn't justify having 3 strollers and my husband had already bought an all-terrain which we use on broken pavement and unpaved areas.
Overall, I love it enough to buy it again if the need for a full-size stroller should arise.

By Far the best mid sized stroller for under $400

The Peg Perego Book stroller is by far the best mid sized stroller under $400. It is under 20 lbs, extremely agile and easy to push, folds into a reasonable size, and has a canopy that can fully enclose your child. The latter is what sold me on this stroller. Most strollers have small canopies that don't cover well and the sun bakes the child.
I looked at least a dozen other mid sized strollers and in this price range of $300 to $500 and the book had no competition.
The only downside of this stroller is the mediocre harness. It feels cheap, it's narrow and not padded well. This can be remedied by buying some pads to wrap around the shoulder area.
Got it for $335 on a popular online auction site.

Best stroller ever, seriously

This stroller is amazing. I purchased it in December before our little girl was born in January 2013 but I researched and tried strollers for months before that.
PROS:
Great reclining seat. We had already decided we would not be getting an infant car seat so we needed a stroller that would double as a bassinet/pram but I did not want a separate bassinet that would require storing later so the stroller seat itself needed to recline flat. The book reclines almost completely flat and sits up to just short of 90 degrees (I wish it would go the full 90 though). It was definitely flat enough for my baby to sleep comfortably as early as one week old and then as recently as 8 months old, she has napped in it without trouble.
An unplanned bonus, there is a mesh foot cover when used as a pram (I think this is solid fabric in the book plus). We have kept it on and it helps to contain her toys.
Living in Florida, we needed a large canopy and breathable fabrics. The cover is huge so the baby is well protected from the sun and there is a convenient mesh window that I can leave open to allow airflow or just to peek in and check on her.
The solid one-piece handle is a definite upgrade from the other pegs we tried with split handles and simple to steer one handed.
The height is great for me (5'4) and my husband (6'2) and neither of us has trouble with kicking the wheels.
It steers easily, almost too easily sometimes though because when the baby sits crooked, it drifts in that direction but this is easily corrected.
It's light, folds easily (like a book!) to a pretty compact size and I can heft it in to the car without difficulty.
The basket storage is huge and easy to get things in and out with the spring bar on the back end but because of that spring bar, it is difficult to get my large diaper bag out one handed. Also, it is accessible when the seat is fully reclined.
CONS:
I do wish there was someplace to store my keys and phone.
The cup holder is often more irritating than useful. It sticks out from the side just enough to catch EVERY doorway I pass through. You're better off getting an organizer to hang from the handles. Then you would also have a place to put your keys and phone.
All in all, I love this stroller and feel it is worth every penny!

My baby loved this stroller, and if you want your child to nap in a stroller you will love it, too!
