worth it for the width
By ssonbon
i LOVE this stroller. for singles, i have the bugaboo cameleon and the maclaren xlr, so comfort, luxury and convenience are my priorities. i have an average-size 3 year old (50th percentile for height and weight) and a larger 7 month old (75th percentile), and both fit comfortably (and happily!) even with 2 jj cole arctic bundle me's inserted.
side note: i chose a side-by-side vs. tandem so both kids could have more room, sit up high and have good views. i decided that a rear-facing seat was not necessary for my infant because she is perfectly content and entertained looking outward.
pros:
1. the absolute best feature of this stroller is its narrow width. i breeze through doorways, shops, restaurants, grocery aisles, and doctors' offices. other double strollers that claim to fit through standard doorways actually require that you enter square on, which means the door has to be open at least 90 degrees in order to pass through - nearly impossible to do by yourself. the duet is so slim, you can hold the door with one hand and pass the buggy through with the other, entering at an angle.
2. smooth ride & handles well.
3. the seats fully recline and have individual, reasonably sized sun canopies.
4. adjustable handle
5. large basket
6. seat/canopy material is heavy and durable + easy to clean
cons:
1. the duet is heavy and cumbersome to transport when folded. at 34lbs, it's a standard weight for a double stroller, but the front wheels are free to swivel in the folded position, so it's not the most compact fold.
2. reclining the seat requires both hands to tighten/release two separate straps - a rather primitive system compared to the one-handed automatic bar mechanisms available these days.
3. you have to manually lock the stroller to keep it in the folded position. kind of a nuisance but not a deal-breaker.
4. air tires do not come with a pump (come on mountain buggy!). bought one off amazon for $6.
5. cup holder is on an angle so it can't hold coffee or an open soda can.
i highly recommend this stroller to anyone who lives in an urban setting and has to navigate through people and/or crowded spaces. i've driven it to the mall, grocery store, playground, restaurant, doctor's office, airport, farmers' market, pumpkin patch, apple orchard, aquarium, and zoo. no problems - just lots of questions and compliments. i have the special edition chilli, which adds style and flair. i've used this stroller at least 3-4 times a week for the last 4 months, and in spite of its faults (there is no perfect stroller!) i am very satisfied.

It's very heavy, but pretty
By Ekaterina Sergeeva
Gorgeous stroller. My kids love to go on the walks in it. However it is extremely heavy buy itself. What I do to make the ride a little easier: adjust the handle all the way down. It will ride smoother.
